This is the proposed route for my circumnavigation of Great Lake #2
(My first Great Lake circumnavigation was of Lake Huron in summer 2007)
From St Louis I'll be traveling north up through Illinois and Wisconsin to Duluth, Minnesota where I'll start around the lake in a clockwise direction, traveling along the western shoreline of Lake Superior up towards Thunder Bay Canada. Turning east I'll head across the top of the lake on the Trans Canada highway before turning south along the eastern side of the lake to eventually cross back into the USA at Sault Ste Marie. From there I'll travel back west skirting the southern shoreline of the lake as I travel across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and into Wisconsin before turning south for home. Along the way I'll be stopping in to visit with two different long time friends and there are numerous possibilities for side loops, beautiful roads, and adventures.
